YOUNG PLANNING PROFESSIONALS WORKSHOP
Side Event – 60th ISOCARP Anniversary Series, New Clark City, The Philippines
2 – 6 September 2024
RESILIENT PLANNING FOR CENTRAL LUZON “PAKIKISAMA AND UTANG NA LOOB”
The main target of the intended collective vision is a set of keys that hopefully will guide local and regional governments to implement relevant, affordable, and sustainable solutions towards a more resilient and solid future that can sustain itself better, without the political and economic dependency from the Metro Manila region.
The vision shall be inspired in two local values of Philippine culture: “Pakikisama” which means “fellow feeling” or “Companionship” and “Utang na Loob”, which means “debt of gratitude”. Both values combined express the wish to collectively develop with international and local participants a proposal that is dedicated to the people of the region, as a sign of respect and gratitude for their contributions to The Philippines’ freedom and for hosting us during the workshop and the international conference.
