Practical Information

  • Bring cash: when traveling to the Conference in Philippines, it is useful to have some cash on hand. While tourist areas often accept credit and debit cards, many local markets, small shops, and transportation services operate on a cash-only basis. Having local currency ensures that you can easily make purchases, pay for transportation, and enjoy local experiences without any hassle. Additionally, ATMs may not always be readily available in more remote areas, making it essential to carry enough cash for your needs.

  • Bring your own Water bottle: lets be environmentally friendly! Water stations will be available across in the venues
  • Wear light and comfortable clothing: It is the rainy season in the Philippines! Bring comfortable and light clothing and closed as well as open shoes
  • Pack your traditional attire: During the Gala Dinner we are all invited to wear out national traditional attire, for a fully intercultural experience!

When traveling to the Philippines, you’ll need to be aware of the electrical outlets and plug types used in the country. The Philippines typically uses two types of plug adapters: Type A, which has two flat parallel pins (similar to those used in the United States), and Type C, which has two round pins (common in Europe). If your devices use a different plug type or if they are designed for a different voltage, you’ll need a universal adapter and possibly a voltage converter to ensure your electronics can be safely used. It’s always a good idea to check your device specifications and bring the appropriate adapters to ensure a smooth trip.
