1. Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar Technical Tour – This half-day immersive experience will bring the delegates to the heart of Bataan where Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is located. It is a certainty to bring one to travel back in time to a bygone era. The creator/developer of this estate is now the Secretary of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development. He has acceded to our request to give the technical talk about his vision of acquiring century-old mansions and houses from different parts of the country, transport them plank by plank, brick by brick, and rebuild them in Bataan. Their stunning architecture and rich cultural heritage from the Spanish colonial era, built from 2010, form the estate boasts of 216 elegantly designed rooms, each exuding a blend of old-world charm and modern comfort, a clear manifestation of adaptive reutilization of resources.

Full-day Technical Tours
3. Manila Technical Tour – One hour and a half away from New Clark City is Metro Manila, Philippines’ National Capital Region. Four specific spots will figure as highlights of the Manila Technical Tour. From the freeways of the North Luzon Expressway, a scenic drive through the academic oval of the University of the Philippines, the national university, will lead to the venue for the technical talks on the Manila plans, old and new. This will be followed by a curated drive through Bonifacio Global City. It will be the deja vu of sorts for NCC or how it could possibly look two decades into the future. A technical conversation is being prepared at the nation’s CBD, the Financial District – Makati City. Lunch will be in the City of Manila, where the possibility of a tour of the Malacanang Palace and grounds is being worked on. This historic visit combined with the National Museum tour will end in a drive by the oldest Chinatown in the world and a boat ride on the Pasig River and Esplanade, with the river undergoing the process of rehabilitation. It promises to be a full-packed learning and eye-opening experience of cities for regeneration.

4. NCC (SEA Games Facilities – NGAC – River Park – Sacobia Bridge – New Clark International Airport) Technical Tour – Arch Royal Pineda will curate this walking technical talk. He is likewise the designer of all these facilities. He will talk about their use of lahar as composite building material for all the facilities. Lahar is debris flow that originates on the slopes of a volcano. For this tour, delegates will learn straight from the creator his vision and the design and planning processes involved in the establishment of the South East Asian Games facilities that include the Athletics Stadium, the Aquatics Center, the Athletes Village, the River park, the iconic Sacobia Bridge, and a drive to the New Clark International Airport, recently awarded as “one of the world’s most beautiful airports” by Prix Versailles. This promises an exciting exchange of insights.
Additionally, Carbon Neutrality Initiative Technical Tour will offer a half-day exploration of Tarlac Province as the country’s contribution towards carbon neutrality for the world. A special species of bamboo will be introduced for community planting and propagation and eventually as a building material purportedly as a substitute to imported materials. This tour will close in the afternoon towards the beautiful setting of the sun.
